ABOUT MICHAEL DELALLA
“One of the very best acoustic guitarists in the world….music of the most exquisite order.” Matt Fink, All Music Guide
Throughout a career spanning decades, Michael DeLalla’s fingerstyle guitar work is informed by his classical training and his love of jazz, Celtic and more far-reaching world traditions. His fluency on classical, 12-string, and steel-string acoustic guitar showcases gifted improvisation and dazzling technical facility that never sacrifices the richness and poignancy of his compositions. His extensive discography and concert appearances have drawn praise both at home and abroad. Also a passionate educator, he conducts workshops throughout the US based on his book The Mindful Guitarist (2015), where he explores his principles on the Creative Process for musical enthusiasts of all ages.
